POC Mag: How would you describe your music? My music is inspirational, and, in a genre, we created called Street Music Motivation.
POC Mag: What sets your music apart? What is unique, or at least uncommon? I would say content, I talk about relatable subjects. It is unique because I came from an era that influenced my sound, and it plays a big role in how I create music.
POC Mag: What drew you to the music industry? I was drawn to the industry by how my Pops, Uncle, and family created music. I also wanted to be a part of music to add different sounds and my views on life.
POC Mag: Who are you inspired by? My Pop's, Uncles', The Legendary Sadat X of Brand Nubian, The Legendary Mike G of the Jungle Brothers', Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, NAS, Outkast, KRS-One, Money Man, and many more artists' that changed the game.
POC Mag: Please explain your creative process: I create a beat and listen to the vibe. I freestyle to get different ideas and then I start writing. I have to get different ideas, so I step away and take my time and listen just to make it better.
POC Mag: Is there a hidden meaning in any of your music? The only hidden messages that I incorporate is to spread positivity and have a go-getter attitude.
POC Mag: ‘What’s the biggest problem you’ve had to overcome so far?’ The biggest problem for me to overcome was sharing my music because I was critical of how it sounded, and I did not want to make anything whack.
POC Mag: Now you have had the pleasure of working with a few old school legends in the hip-hop game such as Sadat X of Brand Nubian and Mike G of the Jungle Brothers. How has that experience been working with those types of artists? Since I have had the honor of working with both of those legends the experiences were all teachable moments because they are Hip Hop Pioneers. So, I have learned a lot from working with them.
POC Mag: You release your first single “No Calls” from your upcoming project “Master” Why was that the first single? No Call's was released first because it is what I was going through at the time of finding my own sound, nobody talked to me for a few months and I was only getting telemarketer calls. So, I stopped answering my phone and I wrote about it then created a beat and made No Calls.
POC Mag: When is “Master” set to be released? Master will be released Summer 2020
